Simply put there is LITTLE or NO DIFFERENCE. Dentists make around $300-400
per hour no matter whether it’s a check up, root canal or teeth whitening. The profit
margin for the dentist is based on an hourly charge out rate for the space taken up
by the machine & the dentists or hygienists time spent administering the treatment…
makes sense really.
Dependant on the system used, the only variance between other treatments & Love
My Smile is that the client applies the gel themselves. Legally you are not a dentist or
a doctor so they must administer the treatment personally. You will however prepare
everything, show them how to apply the gel & locate the machine on their behalf.
Research has showed us that clients prefer this method due to “personal space
issues”.
For a saving of upwards of $350, all we ask is that the client installs their own molded
mouth pieces. The results are the same due to our technology, molded mouth pieces
& activated gels but the savings are HUGE!
Some specialized salons are doing upwards of 20 treatments per week but
the average is around 2-6 per week.

done lying down on a massage table or sitting upright in a chair. Feedback
suggests that sitting up is generally more comfortable for the client.

Nationally in excess of 64% re-booking rate within 12 months. Percentages
are a direct reflection of your follow up marketing. Most salons contact their
clients by phone, SMS or making notes on their client cards. The better you
do this, the better the re-booking rate will be.
This is why ensuring the initial consultation form (supplied as part of your set
up package) is completed with as much information as possible (especially
email & phone numbers). Once a client has white teeth…they rarely allow
their teeth to go back to being stained but sometimes need to be reminded.
Almost everyone! End results will vary dependant on the original colour of your
teeth & the level of staining.
For example an older person, who smokes, loves a drop of red & consumes
coloured foods regularly will achieve outstanding results due to the higher level
of staining.
This is why we promote likely improvements of between 1–6 shades per
treatment.
For example, if your teeth are naturally white or yellowish the results are likely
to be better than if they are genetically have a grey tinge. If your teeth are not
naturally white then a “pearly white” finish is not achievable as we are assisting
in restoring your teeth to their former glory prior to external influences
UNDER PROMISE & OVER DELIVER. Always explain to clients that the level
of shade change is dependant on a number of factors as discussed above so if
they expect a variation of 1-2 shades & get 6 shades they will be pleased with
the results & more likely to tell their friend (its an Aussie thing to tell everyone
about a good deal).
They need to understand that the longer their treatment, the better the results.
On average most people will get a 1 – 2 shade improvement in 25 minutes with
3 shades being the most common result after a 50 minute treatment.
It is also advisable to warn people of the potential for some sensitivity during &
immediately after the treatment. Whilst this is unlikely in most cases, if they are
aware of the possibilities they are less likely to react if they are in the minority.
On average 1 person in 50 will suffer minor sensitivity which is why we supply
a vitamin E swab with every kit.

Unlike some other treatments we DO NOT use UV light. As a result there is no UV
exposure to burn or blister. The Love My Smile system uses the latest 2400 watt LED
technology and photo activated bleaching gels to achieve stunning results without the
ridiculously expensive prices & highlighted dangers of UV exposure!
What are the risks…What can go wrong with a treatment if my staff make a mistake?
As treatments are self administered & your staff are assisting, the only thing that may
happen occasionally is small levels of gum bleaching may occur (very rare in fact less
than 2% of the time), however the gum colour normally returns within 20 minutes and the
upside is that if you have gum disease, the gel will kill the bacteria.
What are the implications should your client feel any pain or gum bleaching?
Gum colour normally recovers within 20 minutes. They can also apply the Vitamin E
swabs which are supplied in each kit which can also be taken away for future use….its a
nice touch!
If your client is extremely uncomfortable, stop the treatment, allow them to rest for awhile
& then start again if they are willing. If they still feel discomfort then stop the treatment
immediately & ask them to consult their dentist as they may have an underlying gum or
teeth issue which needs professional assistance. That level of pain or discomfort simply
does not occur normally; it’s an issue with the client’s gums & teeth, not the system. Never
continue a treatment if your client is in pain…NEVER!
